The All Sim Appaloosa Horse Club (ASApHC) Rulebook for 2008.

I. The Horses
Only purebred Appaloosas, Colorado Rangers, Appaloosa x Thoroughbred, Appaloosa x Quarter Horse, and Appaloosa x Arabians are allowed to compete.

II. Colors + Markings
All colors and markings must follow the rules of the Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC). The colors are: bay, black, chestnut, palomino, buckskin, dun and grulla. The patterns are: Blanket, Leopard, Few Spot, Snowflake, Varnish Roan, and Frost.

III. Competing
No horse competing in the ASApHC may be on any type of drugs. This being said, competitions are open to almost all types of showing. Please view the class list for more information.

Since Appaloosas race between 220 yards and 8 furlongs (that's one mile!) we define 'Sprint' as under 4 furlongs (2640 yards) and distance over that. Horses may be nominated per category by members, and then members vote for these. Horses will compete for the overall champion titles and racehorse of the year in the same format as the show horse titles.

V. Show Titles
Show titles are titles such as 'National Champion Senior Mare', 'World Champion Junior Stallion', ect. Unlike most associations, these are the show titles. See Section VII on show awards.

VII. Show Awards
These are the show awards that can be earned by a horse. These are based upon the points (listed after).

Register Of Merit (ROM) requires ten points in one event. Multiple ROMs may be earned, however you cannot earn more than one ROM per event.

ASApHC Champion requires 50 points, 25 in halter and 25 in performance

ASApHC Supreme Champion requires 100 points, 40 must be in halter and 60 must be in performance

Halter includes any type of in hand event.
Performance includes any under saddle event.

VIII. Disqualification
Fighting among members, at shows, in public, ect. will result in entries being disqualifed and members being banned. Watch your language when entering, and watch what you say on public forums. If you need to do some business, please do it in private.

VIV. Breeding Stock Registration
Breeding stock is defined as any Arabian, Thoroughbred, or Quarter Horse. With this, horses can compete in the 'Breeding Stock' shows. These are smaller shows that are held regularly with the Club to promote breeding stock. Futher more, the offspring of these registered horses can compete for full credits in regular AND breeding shows. Crossbreds (50% Appaloosa minimum) may compete in these classes also; if they're pedigrees are verifiable that they are 50% or more Appaloosa blood.
